I'm Still Writing After What, Two Years?

Yes, I'm still writing. Hooray! Who could have ever guessed. Since that last post, I've improved a ton. (Well, obviously. I was only eleven when I wrote and posted my fanfiction "Sign In The Water.") Recently, I've picked up free verse poetry writing, won NaNoWriMo in 2014, been published 3 times, talked to several other published authors, started a couple novels, and joined a writing club. So, here's a poem to satisfy the obvious lack of writing posts...

Hand in Hand in Hand
Have words whispered to you
so often in your ear?
so many words of anger that
the anger turns to fear?

Have you spent so many years
putting up a wall?
A wall so high and mighty that
you can't get through at all?

Have you said to people
"Of course I am okay"
to find them coming to you
taking that away?

Have you been  broken, taken down
by other people's words?
Just like that protective wall
surrounded by your lonely birds?

Do you have the courage to
stand up for what is right?
to rise up tall, take a stand,
maybe even fight?

Can you make a promise
to help others in the sand?
If you will, I promise you
We'll rise up
hand
in
hand
in
hand.

Warrior Cats Sign in the Water Book 1 Chapter 4

Hi!!!!!! Sorry about the delay. I got a kidpub account so I have been posting on that..... Anyway! Here is Chapter 4!

Jemma backed away a little. Maybe she wasn’t ready for this.

“What are you doing here? Please tell me.” Ashpaw repeated.

“Er- I was looking for the clans.” Jemma replied absent mindedly.

“Oh. Well, you are in the right place then. I am from Lightningclan. What is your name?” he asked.

       “My name is Jemma.

       “Hi Jemma. I am Ashpaw.”

But, however, there was no hostility in the young cat’s eyes. Only curiosity. Suddenly Jemma was also curious. Just then, Bluepool and Cedarlight padded up to the two young cats.

“Who is this?” Bluepool asked.

“This is Jemma.” Ashpaw answered.

“Let’s take her to camp, after she explains herself.” Cedarlight suggested.

“I am from the Tallwalker gardens. I came here to seek refuge, because they have treated me very poorly. I want to live among your clan.” Jemma explained.

“Follow us then.” Bluepool meowed.

For some reason, Bluepool sounded troubled, but they padded off to the camp anyway.

As they entered the forest, Jemma breathed a sigh of relief. She felt sheltered under the woodland trees. They passed countless trees, bushes, and rocks, all of them smelling of the forest. Jemma knew that this would be a very good home for her.

Just then, Jemma scented lots of cats. The strong smell was almost overwhelming. She knew that they were near the camp.

“This is our camp entrance.” Ashpaw told her, as he guided her over to an opening in the thick undergrowth. As she squeezed through the entry. When she entered the camp, she was amazed.

In front of her was about twenty cats, all busy with things around the camp. When she entered, the cats’ heads all turned toward her almost immediately. Cedarlight led Ashpaw, Bluepool, and her toward a den that was behind a big tree.

When they arrived, he told Ashpaw, “Go with Bluepool and train. I will take care of Jemma.”

Ashpaw opened his mouth to protest, but thought the better of it, and he and Bluepool padded out of the camp again. Then Cedarlight turned to her.

“This is our leader’s den. He will decide what to do with you. Come now. Lightningstar is kind, and will not treat you harshly.” he said tenderly.

Jemma was relieved. She was glad that Lightningstar was kind, or else she could have a hard time earning her place in the clan.

As they entered the den, Cedarlight called out, “Lightningstar, my patrol found this cat at the border. We brought her to you.”

A sleek black tom emerged from the shadows.

“Welcome, little one. What is your name?” he asked.

“I am Jemma. I do not mean any harm.” Jemma replied nervously.

“Of course you don’t mean harm, Jemma.” Lightningstar meowed soothingly.

Jemma was amazed at his kindness. She had never been treated with such respect.

“She says that she wishes to join Lightningclan.” Cedarlight explained to the leader.

“Is this true?” Lightningstar asked her.

“It is.”

“Very well. I will talk it over with Squirrelfur, my loyal deputy, and see what she thinks.”

Jemma was overjoyed, filled with such a blissful feeling that she did not know how she would bear it. Lightningstar signaled Cedarlight to leave with a flick of his tail, and Jemma followed him out of the den. If the deputy agreed, she would be a clan cat!

The next few minutes seemed like hours, but finally, Lightningstar called her into his den. Squirrelfur was with him.

“We have decided that you may stay, if you can learn the clan ways and obey them.” the black leader meowed.

“Thank you! Thank you! You will not regret this! How do we begin?” Jemma yowled in triumph.

“We begin like this.” replied LIghtningstar, and with a flick of his tail, he padded out of the den, with Squirrelfur behind him. Jemma followed eagerly.

The leader climbed or the tall tree that was in front of his den, and yowled, “Let all cats gather here beneath Talltree for a clan meeting!”

Then, before her very eyes, gathered a great multitude of cats, all curiously looking up at the leader.

Lightningstar motioned Jemma to join him, and when she had climbed up to him, he spoke again to the clan.

“This is Jemma. She is a kittypet, but was mistreated in her life with the Tallwalkers. She has decided to join the clan, and Squirrelfur and I have decided to let her into Lightningclan as an apprentice.”

Then he turned to Jemma.

“Jemma, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you have received your warrior name, you will be known as Ripplepaw. Your mentor will be Talonshine. I hope Talonshine will pass down all he knows to you.”

Then he turned to Talonshine.

“Talonshine, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training, and have shown yourself to be fierce and brave. You will be the mentor of Ripplepaw, and I expect you to pass on all you have learned to her.” he meowed confidently.

The brown and red tabby looked surprised, but he waited below the tree until his apprentice came to  him.

When she did, some of the clan started yowling, “Ripplepaw! Ripplepaw! Ripplepaw!”

Now she was a full member of the clan. A new name, an new mentor, a new friend, a new home. Ripplepaw was filled with such a jovial feeling that she thought she would burst. This was her new life, and she knew that she was going to be happy here. Just then, Ashpaw padded up to her.

“Nice name, Ripplepaw!” he said in congratulations.

“Thanks!” she meowed cheerfully.

Then Talonshine came up to her.

“Let me show you around the camp.” he said.

“See you later!” said Ashpaw, and than walked away.

As Ripplepaw and Talonshine walked around the camp, the new apprentice was baffled on how large it was. There were kits, queens, warriors, apprentices, elders, and even a medicine cat.

When the tour was over, her mentor showed her to the apprentices’ den.

“This is where you will sleep.” he said.

Ashpaw was already there waiting for her. When Talonshine walked away, he meowed,

“How was the tour?”

Ripplepaw was exhausted, but told him all about everything that had happened.

Ashpaw showed her to a nest.

“This will be yours. It is next to mine.” her friend meowed.

“Thank you. I am bone-tired.” she said appreciatively.

Ripplepaw sank into her nest. It was soft and cozy.

“Good night.” Ashpaw meowed quietly, and then she plummeted into darkness.

She awoke in a forest, so she looked around. There were many things to see. There were bees, flowers, bushes, but the best things were the trees. She climbed up one of them, and had a feeling of perfect sensation and freedom. Then, she remembered that she did not know how to get down.

She felt her paws slip, and she searched franticly for a hold. Fear replaced the freedom as she fell closer and closer to the ground. She braced herself for pain, and then she hit. But there was no pain. Only a warm, tingly feeling, that made her feel as if she could run forever. It had all happened so fast, but as soon as that special feeling had come, it was gone.

Ripplepaw woke up. She had been awakened by Lightningstar’s loud call. A call for a clan meeting.

She did not feel as if she had enough strength, but the feeling in her dream came back, and she found that her strength was renewed.

She padded out of the den, and joined with the clan under Talltree. Then she saw Ashpaw.  He was sitting beside Lightningstar, looking proud and brave. As soon as the clan had quieted, the leader spoke.

“I am proud to say that this morning we will hold a naming ceremony for Ashpaw.” Lightningstar said.

Then he turned to Bluepool. “Is your apprentice fit to become a warrior?” he asked.

“He is.” Bluepool replied.

“Then he will be named.” he said, turning to Ashpaw, who was shivering with excitement. “I, Lightningstar, leader of Lightningclan, call apon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your oble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Ashpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and protect and defend this clan, even at the cost of your life?”

“I do.” Ashpaw replied boldly.

“Them by the powers of Starclan, I give you your warrior name: Ashpaw,  from this moment on you will be known as Ashear. Starclan honors your bravery and courage, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Lightningclan.” the leader meowed.

The newly named Ashear jumped down from the tree, and the whole clan called out,

“Ashear! Ashear! Ashear!”

Ripplepaw joined in for a bit, but then realized that she yould not be sleeping with Ashear tonight. He was a warrior now, so he would be sleeping in the warrior’s den. She was only a new apprentice. It would be a long time before she was able to be with him.

She sadly walked off to her den. Ashear would never be with her there again.

Wonderful! I love this Chapter! Such excitement! Lots of new names. Hope you can take it all in! PLEASE COMMENT!!!!!! I would really appreciate some CC here. Thanks! (P.S. Can you tell that Ripplepaw has feelings?)

Warrior Cats Sign in the Water Chapter 3

Yay! A new Chappy! I hope you like it. (Wow, I really need to update more) ;)

“Why? I mean, you are welcome to come, but why do you want to?” “Because we all agree that you are a very interesting cat. I would only travel with you to Grassclan territory, and I don’t want you to get into a fight with any other cats.” “That sounds great! I could use a little company.” “Then it is decided. We will leave immediately.” Sky and Lila stepped out.  “We would like to travel with you also, but Lila’s kits will be born any day now, and we cannot afford to take any chances.” Sky meowed. “I understand.” Jemma replied.

“Let us be off now. Expect me to be back by dark.” Leaf meowed. Jemma could see that Lila was going to miss her mate, even if he was going to be gone for less than a day. “I hope I will be back in time for our kits to be born.” Leaf mewed quietly to Lila. “I hope so. I want you to be there.” she replied. Then Leaf turned to Jemma. “Let’s go.” he said, so the two cats padded out of the barn.

The sun was high in the sky, and it was hot. The mud on Jemma’s fur kept her a little cooler, and Leaf was a shorthair cat, so they weren’t slowed by the heat. They padded on, sating nothing to eachother. Leaf led the way to Grassclan’s border, and they were making good progress. Suddenly he stopped. He turned to Jemma. “I smell dogs. Crouch down and stay down.” he hissed urgently.

Jemma flattened herself in the tall grass. She had never seen a big dog before. She had only seen small ones, like the tallwalkers who lived two houses down had. “What do they look like?” she whispered. “They are very big, and they smell horrible. They have big teeth, their tongues hang out of  their mouths, and they drool a lot too.” Leaf replied quietly. The dogs were getting closer. Jemma could smell them now. She could feel the thundering of their paws shaking the ground.

Leaf looked at her, but his eyes had changed. There was something hidden in them, but Jemma could not tell what it was. It was a soft, gentle look, like he would never want her to get hurt. He blinked, then the look was gone, replaced by fear.

Suddenly, Leaf let out a loud yowl and dashes away. Instantly the dogs saw him, and crashed after him. “Leaf!” Jemma cried. What was he thinking? “Run, Jemma! Run! Head for the forest! I’ll be okay! Just go! I’ll be fine!” he yowled to her. Jemma hesitated. Would he be alright? If he was hurt and wasn’t home by dark, Lila and Sky would worry. And what about Lila’s kits? She would want him to see them. “Go! What are you standing there for? Save yourself! The clans will need you! I can feel it!” Leaf’s yowls interrupted her thoughts.

Then she knew what she had to do. She ran. When she was far enough away, she stopped to see if Leaf was okay. She couldn’t see him. Then she remembered his words. The clans will need you! I can feel it! He had said. Would they really need her? Pushed by his words, she forced herself to believe that he was fine. She scented the air. There was a strange smell in it. It smelled of cats, grass, and heather. Could it be Grassclan? Then she heard voices. The voices of more cats.

“I smell something. Another cat. It smells like a loner, but it could be a rouge. I am going to investigate.” a younger voice said. Very well. Just be careful.” another voice mewed. “If it is another cat, you might get hurt. Finpelt, don’t let her go. She’s my first apprentice.” A sharp voice hissed. “I say she can go. She’ll be fine. Go on, Icepaw.” Finpelt mewed. “Thanks Finpelt!” Icepaw said happily. To Jemma’s horror, the young grey cat came padding toward her.

Icepaw stuck her head into the tall grass where Jemma was crouching. She called to her clanmates. “Over here! She’s no bigger than a new apprentice, and she is skinny and ungroomed. I don’t think she means trouble.” Icepaw meowed.

The other cats padded toward Icepaw and Jemma. “What is your business here?” asked Finpelt, who was a brown tabby with bright green eyes. “Yes, what are you doing here?” the other cat asked. Icepaw just looked at her, her green eyes not betraying the curiosity that was in them.

“I am Jemma, and I am looking for the clans. I wish to join them, because my tallwalkers have not been good to me.” Jemma replied confidently. “Ah, a kittypet. You don’t look like one, but I can tell you are telling the truth by your collar and because you aren’t groomed and well fed like most. Well, you have come to the right place. We are from Grassclan.” meowed Finpelt. “This is Thunderleaf,” she said flicking her tail at the other tabby, “this is Icepaw, and I’m Finpelt. If you will excuse us for a moment, we will talk about what to do with you.”

The three cats turned away from Jemma and whispered to each other. Jemma caught a few words here and there, but could not tell what they were planning to do with her.  Then she heard the cats go silent. Thunderleaf then whispered, “Oh, ........ alright.” and the cats broke apart. “It is decided. Icepaw and I will take you to Lightningclan territory and let them decide what to do with you.” Thunderleaf meowed sternly. “Why is Finpelt not coming?” Jemma asked. “She is going to tell Grassstar of what happened, and tell him where we are.” the tabby explained.

Suddenly the clan cats turned and raced off toward the trees with Jemma following at a slower pace behind them. Silently Icepaw fell back beside Jemma. “Sorry about my mentor. She can be a little grumpy sometimes.” she said apologetically. “It’s ok. I know some cats that have grumpy personalities too.” Jemma replied, thinking of Leaf. Slowly her mind wandered back to his calls.

The cats raced past endless grasses, and Jemma felt lost among the tall golden stalks. Then Icepaw started to talk again. “Lightningclan is a little low on cats at the moment, so they will probably accept you into their clan. Plus, you seem to have the makings of a Lightningclan cat.” she said, noticing Jemma’s unease among the open moors.

Suddenly Thunderleaf stopped. Jemma looked up. Towering right in front of them was rows and rows of trees. “That’s the forest.” Icepaw whispered. Jemma scented the air. A rich, homey smell was here, mingling with the smell of cats and prey.

“This is it. We’re here. The Lightningclan borderline. Jemma, this will probably be your new home. Let’s wait for a patrol to take you. Then Icepaw and I will leave back to our camp.” Thunderleaf meowed stiffly. Then Jemma and the Grassclan cats sat down to wait.

Thunderleaf was sitting a fair distance from Jemma, but Icepaw had seemed to take a liking to her, and was sitting nearer. They waited in silence for what seemed like hours, and then Thunderleaf suddenly sat up. Icepaw immediately copied her actions, while Jemma was slower to follow.

“I smell Lightningclan. We will leave you here.” Thunderleaf meowed, with no sign of what she was feeling in her tone. Icepaw turned and looked at her with her eyes filled with sympathy. “Er, I have to go. I wish I could stay, but I can’t stay out alone.” she mewed awkwardly. “I will be okay. Will I see you again?” Jemma asked. “Maybe. I hope so. You remind me of someone I knew a while ago.” Icepaw replied with a hint of sadness in her voice. With that, the clan cats raced off into the grasses, and Jemma was left alone.

Jemma waited at the edge of the grass for the other cats. The silence was getting to her, and she was starting to feel uncomfortable. Just then, she heard something. “I’m sure I scented it, I know I did. It was coming from over there.” a cat meowed. “You may look, but I do not smell anyone, Ashpaw.” another voice said. “Thank you, Cedarlight!” Ashpaw purred. “Be careful. You might get hurt.” a she cat meowed. “He’ll be fine, Bluepool.” Cedarlight meowed.

Jemma tensed. She knew she had found the cats she had been looking for, but she did not want another cat finding her like this. The pawsteps were getting closer. Jemma braced herself for an attack, but instead of an attack, a smudgy face peered through the trees. “What are you doing here?” Ashpaw questioned.

Warrior Cats Sign in the Water Chapter 2

Hi! Sorry for the delay. Here's Chapter 2!!

As Jemma sat under a bush she thought about tomorrow morning. She thought about her sister’s face when she had told her she was leaving. She had seemed so sad. Jemma walked to her food dish. Finally! They had decided to feed her. She sat down to eat. Despite the horrible taste, she ate quickly and was soon done. With her stomach mostly full she fell asleep.

When she awoke it was time to go. She headed over to Sapphira’s garden to say goodbye. “Sapphira, Sapphira! Where are you? I came to say goodbye!” she shouted. Sapphira padded out the cat door, looking very sad. “Sapphira, I know you’ll miss me, and I’ll miss you too. But I think you are overreacting. I promise that if I don’t like it there, I will come straight back home and see if I can live with you.” Jemma said. “You promise?” she asked. “I promise. Will you come and see Finn with me?” Just then, Finn’s voice sounded behind them. “No need. I’m already here.” he said. “I brought you this.” He handed her over a skinny blackbird.

“Thank you, Finn. I can never catch anything more than a leaf.” Jemma said thankfully. “You’re welcome. Maybe you’ll learn how to hunt in the clans. I wish you a happy life in the forest.” Finn replied with a hint of sadness in his voice. “I’ll miss you both. Will you come to the edge of the tallwalker gardens with me?” Jemma asked. “Of course. Right, Finn?” Sappira meowed. “Oh, uh, sure. Well, I’d better stay. I’m getting older and, you know, I can’t jump fences like I used to. Sorry. I would if I was younger. Goodbye Jemma. I will miss you a lot.” he said regretfully. “It’s all right, Finn. I understand. Goodbye.” Jemma said after she had eaten the blackbird. “I guess we should be off.” Sapphira said. “Bye Finn!” Jemma meowed to the old cat as they started off. Finn just sat there with a blank look on his face.

The sisters climbed fence after fence. Finally they saw the end of the gardens. It was a way off, but they might be able to get there by sundown. “We are almost there!” Jemma cried excitedly. “Can we rest? I’m tired and hungry.” Sapphira said wearily. “I’m sorry Sapphira, but if we want to get to the forest by sundown we have to keep going.” “OK, I just don’t want you to leave. I am going to be so lonely without you.” “You’ll have Finn.” “I know, but that’s not the same.” Sapphira said. “Look! We’re almost there. Let’s hurry!” Jemma meowed excitedly. “I can’t go any further. Please, can’t we rest? I can’t take another step.” “Well, we’re almost there. Maybe we should take a break, just for a few minutes though.” “Thank you so much! My paws are about to fall off!” Sapphira purred quietly.

Finally the sisters found a place to rest. As they quietly lay down under a big oak tree, Jemma slowly fell asleep. In her dreams, two cats were in a forest, taking a walk. “Kestrelclaw, why did you want to talk? This is against the warrior code, you know.” a spotted she cat said. “Yes Spottedfeather, I know, but I wanted to talk to you. I was wondering, well, Shadestar won’t give me an apprentice. It’s like he doesn’t trust me. I was wondering if, well, maybe I could join your clan. The night I thought of it I had a dream. Air told me no. They said that I would get an apprentice soon enough. I was wondering if you could reason with them and try to get them to let me.” Kestrelclaw said. “No! It’s against the warrior code! I won’t. I’m sorry Kestrelclaw. You know I love you. I just had to go with Lightningstar when we were together. I’ a medicine cat now. I’m sorry. Goodbye.” Spottedfeather said, and she walked off. Then the dream faded.

Jemma was awakened by Sapphira, who was now full of energy. “Jemma, you fell asleep. It’s already sunrise. If you want to get there soon you’d better get going.” she said. “You’re not coming? I thought you were.” Jemma meowed. She decided that the dream wasn’t important, so she didn’t tell her sister, but she did have one question about it. Who was Air? Maybe she would find out in the clans. “My Tallwalker will be worried by now. I have to go. Come see me soon!” Sapphira cried as she jumped back over the fences. Jemma looked at the barn that she and her sister had slept by. Maybe she could find food in there. Pushed by the hunger in her stomach, she headed into the barn.

It was dark, but the smell of mice and hay was everywhere. Her ears pricked as she heard a sound of something moving. Was there something other than a mouse in this barn? “Hello!? Hello? Is there someone here?” “Get out of our territory. No cats but us are allowed in here.” a menacing voice growled in reply.

A golden tom with green eyes stepped out of the darkness. “What are you doing here?” He looked at her collar. “Ah, a housecat. Why aren’t you with your Tallwalkers? They are probably very worried, pampered cat.” He said rudely. Then a grey tabby she-cat stepped out and looked at the tom. “Leave her alone, Leaf. She looks hungry and ungroomed. Maybe we should give her a chance to explain herself.” The cat turned to Jemma. “What’s your name?” she asked. “Jemma. I don’t mean any harm. I didn’t even know that this was your barn.” answered Jemma. The she-cat turned back to Leaf. “See? She didn’t know. We should give her a mouse or two and let her go.” “But Sky! She’s trespassing! You know what the rules are. We either fight or give her a warning. I think we should give her a warning and make her leave, no mice.” Leaf hissed. Then he turned to Jemma. “Leave here and never come back!” he spat.

“Leaf!” Another she-cat was speaking now. “Is this how you would treat our kits at this age? I would hope not.” The she-cat said as she stepped out of the darkness. She was a pretty calico with light green eyes, and Jemma could see that she was close to kitting. Just then, Leaf’s eyes softened as he padded up to his mate. “No, I would never treat our kits poorly.” He glared at Jemma. “But this kit, well, she’s an intruder! You never know what intruders hide.” Leaf hissed. “I am not a kit! I’m a day away from being 6 months. That’s half of a year!” Jemma said. “Well, Sky and I are 20 months. That makes us almost a year old. And Lila here is 18 months. Ha!”

“Why are you arguing about your age? You two are acting like kits!” Sky purred.  Immediately Leaf jumped away from Jemma. Lila whispered to her, “Don’t mind him. He loses track of his dignity sometimes.” Jemma understood. This cat only wanted to protect his loved ones. “What brings you here anyway?” Sky asked. “I am looking for the clans. I heard about them from a friend, and I want to join them.” “Oh, I see. Well, you’re heading in the right direction. You see that field over there? That’s Grassclan territory. You will probably be there at about sunhigh if you leave soon.” Jemma purred. She was almost there!

Just then, Lila brought Jemma a plump mouse. “Here, you look hungry.” she meowed. “Jemma purred gratefully and crouched down to eat it. It was much better than the blackbird. The flavors danced in her mouth, and made her want more. After she had finished, she eagerly thanked Lila. “Thank you. I have never tasted mouse before. Could I try to catch one?” she asked. “Of course. You can eat what you catch.” Lila purred. Leaf glared at Jemma. She crouched down and pricked her ears. She heard a mouse not far off. As if it were instinct, she glided across the barn floor. Now she could see the mouse. She waited a moment, and then pounced. Not a moment too soon, the mouse ran. Jemma chased after it, and then caught up to it. Triumphantly, she brought it to Leaf. She put it down at his paws, and beconed him to eat it.

Then something changed inside the tom. His eyes softened as he crouched down to eat. When he had finished, he thanked Jemma, and then something unexpected happened. “I am sorry for the way I have acted. You have proved that you are a kind cat.” he said, and then beckoned to Sky and Lila. The three rouges then hid in the shadows, but Jemma could hear them whispering to one another. Then Leaf showed himself. “Would you let me travel with you?" he asked.

Oooh, a cliffhanger. Hope you liked it! :) I'm still working on the 3rd chapter but I will post it soon!

Warriors Sign in the Water Part 2/2 Chapter 1

"You've decided then, eh? Well, I wish you many happy days with them 'forest cats'. I hope they accept you." Finn said. "Thank you. Will you come and tell Sapphira with me?" Jemma asked. "What? you haven't told your sister yet?" "I came straight to you since you were so eager to hear my answer." "Alright, I'll come." "Thank you. I think it will be easier with two."

What? You're leaving? No! Please stay! You could live with me. My Tallwalker would probably take you in. I just can't bear the thought of maybe never seeing you again." Sapphira cried. "She's decided, and that's her final answer. Anyway, you'll have me. I can keep you company." Finn told her. "I will miss you a lot, Sapphira, but I've made up my mind. I feel like I would be better off in the forest than with Tallwalkers. I'm sorry." Jemma meowed to her heartbroken sister. "But why? What made you want to join them? I bet it was Finn!" Sapphira hissed as she looked at the old tom.

"You convinced her, didn't you?" she accused. "No! She decided on her own! I swear I didn't do it!" Finn meowed innocently. "He's right. I decided on my own. I want to go because I had a dream about Lightning, Water, Shade, and Grass. They were sitting on the Tallrocks, discussing the clans. There is Lightningclan, Waterclan, Shadeclan, and Grassclan. They are looking for kittypets and rouges to join them." Jemma explaned. "What's a kittypet?" her sister asked. "I know! It's a house cat, like one of us!" Finn meowed. "That means that I will be able to join." Jemma said happily.

"I'm going to miss you so much!" Sapphira meowed quietly. "I know. I'm going to miss her too." Finn said sympathetically. "I will leave tomorrow." Jemma declared. Then she padded up to her sister and rested her tail on her back. "I'll miss you very much, but this is for the best." she said. Jemma looked at Finn. "Good wishes, Jemma. We will both miss you very much." he said. " I'll miss you too Finn. I'll even miss your stories. Maybe I'll come and visit sometime." Jemma meowed quietly. "I'd like that. Please do." Finn said. "I'll try." Jemma said and looked back at her sister. She was staring off somewhere, her eyes clouded with sorrow.

"I love you Sapphira, and I would stay if I could." she said. "But you can! You could live with me!" Sapphira cried. But Jemma knew that she would not be able to. "I'm sorry. I will miss you very much. And something tells me that we will meet again one day. I just have to go. I have a feeling that I will be needed there. I feel like I will finally be accepted." she meowed to Sapphira "If you will be happy, then I am happy for you.  Just know that I will always have a place in my heart for you." Sappira said.

I know. I love you both." And with that, Jemma jumped over the fence into her garden.
